Guys to clarify I do have three. Not proud of it but its reality. Failed a I did have an interview with PDT and I felt all went well. They hired guys who had less then 350TT and 25 Multi ( many who I know personally).. The 1500 Hour / 200 Hour minimum with them is not at all the case.
FYI when I count your faliures my math says 3: multi private, commercial multi ( instrument portion ) and CFI initial. 1. private multi 2. commercial multi 3. CFI |

I know, you said it before. I don't think 2 is hurting you.

agreed. I thought I made that clear in the OP. If not my error
I'm sorry to hear Mesaba turned you down. I handed in about 20 resumes there for fellow Boilermakers over the years and pretty sure most all made it in. |

Don't feel bad dude, i got walked out of the interview @ American Eagle for not completing the App correctly (had to re-sit type ride) and less than 6 months later was in ground school at a much better outfit.
Things will turn around.. |
Keep your chin up my friend. Everyone here is right, just keep plugging away. Here's a quote I've learned to live by.
"It's how you deal with failure which determines whether or not you achieve success" |
Guys can't appreciate the kind words enough! As for my commercial multi , iirc, the examiner said that we were taking a commercial multi engine checkride with instrument add on which is what dictated the failure cometely. I was a 250 hour wonder pilot who admittedly became to complacent with the approach I had flow nearly 30-60 times. As luck would have it, the Feds added a step down fix in the latest revision which had taken place that week. Long story short , I neglected to brief it properly and descended below the MDA. I love telling my students that story . They brief every approach like it's never been flown!

I feel your pain, but just as many others have told you already, you need to keep flying and trying. If American Eagle will allow you to put in another app. 90 days from now, then do it. Don't let your failed rides take you down with them. I know someone who was recently hired by one of the larger regionals who had his own failures and still lacks a 4 year degree. If they can do it, you can do it. Keep trying and good luck.

So.. My question is , should I sell hot dogs at the ball park or newspapers on the side of the road?
No joke. Keep trying on flying. In the meantime keep working and don't pout. |
Get additional tickets if you don't already have them -- your CFII, CFI-Multi, AGI - Advanced Ground Instructor, taildragger, floats, anything. And when you get to 1500, your ATP. It'll show employers a string of new passed exams and that you're serious and ambitious about your career. Good luck!
