Default can a CHQ pilot jump around between rep. or shuttle?

it says they have one master seniority list, if your # is eligible for a captain bid in one of the other companies, bases or AC, are you eligible to bid for a new base or a new AC?

if so, whats the point of 3 seperate companies? and when your hired how do they determine what company there going to put you with, is it just based on needs?

anything bad people might wanna let me know before i start sending info...............

It is my understanding that you can not jump around amongst the 3 companies. Only to upgrade.

For anyone who works there, let me pose this question: If you are EMB145 captain and want to transistion into the 170, can you do it?

As a FNG, you are seatlocked until upgrade (as of this contract, which is amendable next OCT.) The rule is you can always bid UP in pay, but not over or down. Theoretically you could do: F/O; STL 140 CA; IAH CRJ CA; S5 170 CA and RW 175 CA. We are working out the S5 to RW deal now. The union and company both said they have an agreement, but we'll see when the rubber hits the road. Overall a good place to work...
