Hmm.. Think about that for a second, leaving Mesa in 2007 would have done this for me.

United-furloughed
NetJets-Furloghed
Airways - Furloughed, recalled recently
Continental-Furloughed-recalled 2 yrs later
Airtran-Furloughed-Recalled 1-2 yrs later.

The financial gamble paid off for me and my family. I was never furloughed or downgrade. I did not leave just because I hated Mesa.

Everything happens for a reason.
Did I plan on staying at Mesa for almost 12 years?..NO
Did I want to move on ?..YES
Did I stay at Mesa for a career..NO!
Do I plan my exit carefully?..YES
Do I put my family at financial risk leaving?..POSSIBLY
Will Mesa be around in the next 5-10 yrs?..Who knows?
Do I have the crystal ball for the future aviation..NO!!
Is my choice to going cargo a good one?...Will see

I have taken advantage of 3 type ratings and over 5000 PIC Jet and over 9000 TT and have survived 2 furloughs and keeping my CA seat throughout each one.
Relax it was a joke...
Why did you feel the need to give me your resume?

I picked Pinnacle and was hired in March. I'm new but I think I made the right choice based on what I've learned. We have a Memphis base but, like the other poster said, you should chose based on contract, work rules, QOL, and how long could you stick around if you had to.
