As short as we are on the Saab I may go flatten tires on the Q's I see around IAD and pull the FO's by their epaulets into the vacant Saab seats to get scheduling off/out of the current Saab FO's rear ends. Canceled vacations and they're hiring into the Q? Give me a break.

Hey we are getting hammered just as hard on the 900 Ca reserves at Mesaba... Every DTW resrve I talked to obliterated guarantee last month and so far it's shaping up to be the same this month... Put it this way, I am already showing 40 hours credit. And yes this is only the 5th, ( ok 11 is because of 2 days of training later in the month)
I hadn't heard that, I know some of our guys are happy to collect the extra pay but I'd much rather have the time at home. As a side note, I'd be happy to come over to 900 CA and help cover some of the flying

I'm just posting what my friend told me, they started today in MEM, 15 Q400 with 9L.
I also have another friend who is hired and has been hired by 9E since April 27th and he was supposed to start July 5th with 9E CRJ 200 JFK. He was pushed back to July 18th two weeks ago, and now last week they told him to sit tight as they do not have a class for him because they are so backed up. Needless to say he is wondering when in the world he will finally get to start training, lucky for him he hasn't quit his job yet.

yeah... there is no June 7th Colgan class... it's June 6th... they have the same DOH as the Mesaba class... someone just screwed up the date in the hiring info...

IF that happens, I'd suspect some grievances because there's senior Saab FO's that have a standing bid into the Q. I know EWR is staffed (had 11 reserves yesterday) and have been able to drop my line because we're staffed.
I'm not doubting that Mgmnt told them they're getting the Q, but take that with a grain of salt. There are no firm orders for more Q's just rumors and as of right now we are staffed on the Q in IAD and EWR. But what do i know? I just fly the line.
