SkyWest Hiring Through MAY????
 

I looked on AirlinePilotCentral.com and noticed it said that SkyWest was hiring through MAY 2007? We received a company email stating how many for the rest of the year, but I had not heard anything about hiring through May. Does anyone out there know if this is true and if so, why? Are we growing or are people leaving at that high of a rate? Thanks!

I've heard May also, from the training dept.

You guys have to hire enough for all of the ASA flying that you are getting out of ATL starting in DEC.

Word is 15-20 a month from attrition, plus 30-35 for the new jets. Just "the word" though... so who really knows?

Soon, 400 lines in SLC up from about 230 now.

Anybody have any insight on ASA's class date?

Hiring at ASA given the current fleet forcast of loosing at least 17 CR-700 to SKW and all the ATR-72's will be in the first quarter of '07. The assumes and attrition rate of 16 pilot per month. We are currently sending pilots back to the right seat, and from the 700 back to the 50. The squeeze is on.

BTW from what DAL is saying SKW will be flying the 900's out of ATL staring in DEC. I have not seen it in the SKED, but look for it.
