AmEagle pilots just got chance to flow to AA
 

Just heard from a friend that all Eagle pilot are receiving AA numbers?
If this is true greats news for you guys. Pilots standing united as a group.

Just saw an Eagle pilot post something about this on FB-my husband interviews with Eagle on August 4-what's going on and what does it mean?

It means all Eagle pilots become furlough bait.

How long did it take for your Hubby to get a the "Reviewing your app In 2 to 7 business days " Email .....

Hope it works out better than the last flowthrough did.

Where did it say they get an AA #? To me it reads they get to flo-up when their number is called but a possible 50-65% (after the settlement pilots) of every class can come from outside hires.

Yep, the thread title is misleading. As for the deal, it's really not as great as it sounds...

.....and how does this gel with the soon to be announced sale of eagle?..some sort of deal made to ensure the eagle pilots have something to feel better about leaving AMR?

Yep! Do the math. If you're a new hire there today and your Eagle seniority number is 3000 and AA hires 71 pilots per month which means 25 Eagle pilots flo-up (35% of 71) it will take you 10 years to get your class. It also means AA will have hired 8520 pilots. Now we all know not every Eagle pilot will move on......or will they? If they are divested and AA's future looks brighter I'd expect almost all of Eagles pilots to accept.

These numbers can vary but I'd rather take my chances with an interview next year than wait 7 years for a class.

Yeah, It's not a number it's a chance to flow up if interested( if in Eagle by a certain date this fall... I think Oct or Nov.)

Supposedly there is a 400 jet order for AA to be announced soon.. maybe tomorrow morning at 10am.

1. Every American Eagle pilot who is on the American Eagle pilot seniority list as of October 11, 2011 will be offered a job as an American Airlines pilot in the future.

2. American Eagle pilots hired under this settlement agreement will not be subjected to a pre-employment interview or pre-employment medical examination prior to transferring to American Airlines.

3. American Eagle pilots will be offered a minimum of 35% of every American Airlines new-hire class. In the event that 35% of American Airlines’ new hire class is greater than 25 pilots per month, American Eagle will be required to release at least 25 Eagle pilots per month.

4. If American Eagle loses flying and such loss results in a furlough, American Airlines will increase the percentage of Eagle pilots in their new-hire classes to a minimum of 50%. The meter above will continue to apply.

5. If American Eagle loses flying and such loss might result in a furlough, American Airlines will also attempt to negotiate preferential interviews for American Eagle pilots at the carrier who has successfully bid for the flying that Eagle is losing.

6. This settlement does not impact the existing rights of American Eagle flow-through pilots who currently possess American Airlines pilot seniority numbers, or the rights of the 824 pilot positions awarded as remedy by Arbitrator Nicolau. Those provisions are in place and will remain effective without regard to this settlement agreement.

7. American Eagle has agreed to clarifying contract language regarding the scope of work that American Eagle pilots perform in the event of a divestiture.
