Is AE the bestest of the best regional to be at now? After being around this forum for a long time and watching the cycles of worst becoming best and best becoming worst it makes you wonder who is at the top now. I remember when you were said to be a scumbag bottom feeder if you worked at Colgan and now it is some other regional on the bottom. Wondering if now that AE has a flow thru if they are the go to airline now.

The answer is no. There is no "best" in the regional airline world. Eagle was a good regional, currently are a good regional and likely will still be a good regional through at least the near future.
The flow is great news but there was other news mentioned as well around the same time which some tend to overlook. I would put flow as one of my last reasons for picking a regional. The problem with flow is they tend to fall apart before any real numbers get a chance to go. I have a few friends over at Eagle hired in the 07' range and it is likely that when AA starts hiring they could simply apply and be hired there years before their flow number ever came up.
So the short answer is...yes, they are a good regional.
Make sense?

Completely understand. There was a lot of sarcasm in my post. It is funny that the regional everyone bashes today is sometimes where they want to work tomorrow. Guess it is the nature of the industry.

They absolutely could, and probably will. The only questions in my mind are how fast it will occur, and by how much. Everything will follow what AMR/APA negotiate regarding scope and the ASA agreement Eagle gets. AMR has stated that they have no interest in Eagle failing; however, being set adrift in a whipsawing ocean tends to contradict their claim.

eagle contract goes along with it! the bottom guys/gals that get furloughed will get "preferential hiring/interview" what ever that means! also aa is required to increase class to 50% ae hires but it could take years !!! clear as mud?
