Comair and ASA (and other DTW transplants)

For the love of pete, don't block the taxiways around the B/C Concourse. Trust me, DTW Ground doesn't like it (even gates), and neither does Ramp Control.

When you turn to line up with the gate, pull up to the zipper road. RJ drivers, you know you have pulled up enough when the first zipper disappears under your nose. This provides the rest of the traffic around the area enough room to taxi past remaining centered on the centerline.

There are just some things Mesaba, Compass, and Pinnacle never had issues with up here (well that and no holding into DTW).

I wonder how many Comair pilots care about helping to make a Delta hub efficient?

If you don't comply, your little RJ will be pushed around by a spare A380 kept nearby for this purpose

What's REALLY funny is that I actually visualized a DTW airport owned A380 that just taxies around biting the ass of anyone who doesn't taxi in close enough.

That was a good chuckle.

Air France runs the A340 around, that could do the trick. We were taxing in last month and ramp told us to hold position due to rogue Air France Airbus that was not talking to anyone. He taxied past us and to the gate with out talking to anyone. The whole ramp was held until he was at his gate. We all know how Air France feels about Delta RJ's...

Worry about your own plane and let the ASA and Comair crews worry about theirs.

Interesting - last time I was up there we were forced to wait for a Pinnacle -200 because the crew didn't get this concept.

Besides, if we don't stick our tails out, how can we ever hope to become a heavy jet's next victim? Common, you know you want to be part of that exclusive Comair/ASA club where a Skyteam member slaps your a** with it's wing!

What's the hurry Comair? You are just going to call in what ever times suit you anyway.

Because not having ACARS = a much-needed pay adjustment! F.U. Delta
