Karma has just about gone full circle for Republic.

HMP,

Many pilots have large families, but they are spread out between 3 wives, who each may live in the aforementioned "large houses," but the pilot them-self sends child support and alimony from an address in a Marina where they sneakily (yet still proudly) live on the last vestige of former luxury: a medium sized powerboat. As for the evangelical statements, asking a pilot to adopt an ideology that would have us focus our attention on another entity, while remaining humble at all times... well, that pretty much directly contradicts our nature! In conclusion, it isn't that what Bedford has/does that is wrong, its just that it may seem very strange, foreign, and perhaps unrelatable to our ilk.

Duvie, thanks as that did make me lol. To XJT, I think you need a vacation( and a girlfriend, perhaps?).

And did you also know there is a special place in hell for those that wish ill will towards other pilots that had no say in what their dirt bag management team does?!? I would LOVE to see what a big mouth like XJT would have personally done if he found himself in the same scenario that the Republic guys had dropped on them...

Of course he would have done his job. Why is it that pilots feel they are exempt from the same market forces that affect every other business under the sun? It's curious. It's not your flying nor is it mine. It's theirs. And they can expand it, shrink it, or shut it down any time they want. They can buy assets and sell them whenever they like. I've been burned by acquisitions twice in my career and have no illusions those won't be the last. There's a whole lot more change coming to our profession in my humble opinion.

The solution to RAH's death spiral is simple... power to idle, ailerons neutral, rudder full in opposite direction of rotation, yoke forward to break the stall.... DUHHHH

I think because a lot of 'evangelical' people have a bad rap with manipulation (Benny Hinn/Pat Robertson/Joel Osteen, to name a few) All suck up peoples money so they can live the good life

Of course a lot of the politicians and union leaders (Chicago Labor Chief draws a city pension of $157,752 for a job that paid him $15,264, Chicago Tribune, 9/25) who manipulate the taxpayer and suck up all the money so they can live a good life...they must all be Christians!

ExpressJet was soooo 2004. I wonder if he knows Express is no longer owned by CAL and that they're the redheaded step child of SkyWest.
