Because Trans States pilots earned the flying of 70 seat airplanes from United and Uncle H of Trans States rewarded the Trans States pilots with a worse contract than what they already had, and all of our good friends who went to GoJet are essentially flying planes/routes that Trans States pilots worked hard to get. I think that sums it pretty much? Just people shorting the rest of us because GoJet SHOWS MANAGEMENT THAT PEOPLE WILL FLY FOR LESS THAN INDUSTRY STANDARD!!!!!!!! AND MANAGEMENT CAN TAKE FULL ADVANTAGE OF THIS!!!!!!! I CAN'T BELIEVE THEY DON'T PAY THEM LESS BECAUSE THERE ARE IDIOTS OUT THERE THAT WILL DO THE FLYING FOR $15/HR!!!!!!!!

I read ISAWYOU's comments, is this guy serious? If this is your first 121 job as you show new hire on your name, wait a year and tell me how you feel knowing that someone will do your job for 25% less than what you make.

Even, better, why don't you explain to a couple of my best friends why is ok to get displaced by an alter ego airline, and why they're so wrong?!?!?!? You sound like a perfect candidate for gojets.

Oh, I feel cheated. I wasn't christened with chest-thumping authori-ti the day I was offered my first 121 gig. It sounds to me like DIRTY SANCHEZ was also a CFI within the last couple of years (or less). I guess you have "learned the industry from the inside" now so you can school us with your wealth of information. Look, I'm not trying to be an a-hole, but somebody needs a little slice of humble pie. Being a 121 line guy for a few months doesn't make you some sort of omniscient airline industry f-ing guru. I'm not defending the CFI, but your post was a little too "holier than thou" for me, and it just kind of rubbed me the wrong way.

By the way...the phrase is "insight into this industry", not "inside".

Few months in the industry? Wow, lets start with 3 plus years. And if you actually work at a 121 you'd understard how frustrating it is for someone to come here and "attempt" to lecture us on something they have no idea about. Let's talk about you how many years in the industry do you have? Do you have any friends in the industry that got bumped by the scabs at gojets? You are defending the CFI, thus defending his askewed point of view. I'm not an expert on anything, but anytime this happens I will call them out, as I am an informed alpa member, nothing more nothing less. Rubbed you the wrong way? Good, start taking immodium... I'm not going anywhere.

I love how you girls always go back to the spelling thing when you try to be almighty. Humble pie! So ********ng g**!

WRONG.......it's a union operation...just not ALPA..It's TEAMSTERS

My immodium won't cure you're ignorance. You're just bitter because you've sold your soul to fly the junior jet for half of what you should be getting paid. And you're exactly right...you aren't going anywhere. How do you expect to when you can't formulate a sentence or spell correctly?

Koolaidman 10-08-2006 01:08 AM

GoJet hires captains off of the streets who can't and WON'T even ATTEMPT to decipher a Jepp approach plate. I don't understand why it is soooo difficult to see why GoJet is a bad operation.

People need to be in the industry long enough for the "newness" of flying 121 or a jet wears off and realize that this a JOB!!!!

Although a job which has tons of benefits, it still becomes a job after six months or so!!!!!!!! - For all of the CFI's who can't wait to fly a fricking jet. Still lots of fun, but a JOB!!!!!

Don't sell the guys who are here out, YOU WILL BE IN OUR SHOES ONE DAY!!!!!!!!!

GoJet was non-union when the pilots hit the line, and they remained that way for a long time. They only became Teamsters very recently - and that's because management voted for the union. Oddly enough, I thought the purpose of a union was to protect the employees from management...

Again, what is it that you fly? How many years in the industry did you say? How many personal friends were thrown out on the street by the scabs at gojets?

Sold my soul to fly a small jet?...wow...I guess all the other guys and gals working at a feeder operation also sold their soul. I guess having the best contract in the industry at my company must also mean we all sold our souls.

Again with the grammar! You're like a little 12 year old girl, when you run out of things to say you shelter yourself in the insignificant things you think you're good at. Come back when you're ready to debate with the grown ups.
