They were offered a two dollar an hour raise to fly the 66 seat jets....we dont have seventy seats....has to be less than seventy per united's scope clause.
The MEC told management that their pilot's would take the deal and then the MEC told them to vote no because they would have management by the balls. Management finally said enough is enough...in todays market..nobody is getting any raise for the bigger jets( i think its wrong but it is what it is) and they are just trying to hold a gun to management for an industy leading contract. TSA management decided to proceed without the pilots and hire off the street. Now I was hired when tsa was voting on the contract and we were told that the pilots accepted the contract so myself and about fifty other guys thought we were going to be one two companies but one pilot group and it was fine with me and my coworkers. When they said NO....than it really accelerated the hiring and the captains upgrades. We didnt cross any picket lines...we thought that it would be one pilot group...not our fault TSA said NO. Now i know the naysayers are coming but if they really were happy with the decision they made than they wouldnt be so bitter....one thing they wont say is that the vote was 55percent no....45 percent yes...it was very close |

Than as soon as Ten of American Eagle's jets showed up on property...you should have walked....but you didnt, did you.
Every ex eagle captain at Gojet will tell you the exact same story. AMR found a loophool in the American Connection contract that opened the door for Hulas to grab Connection flying at a rediculously reduced rate based on low wages and a young pilot force. 100 eagle pilots furloughed and fifty captain upgrades lost...nobody at TSA said this was wrong and walked.....kinda sounds familiar doesn't it?? Yes....you are getting what is coming to you. |

Two important points:
1)TSA was unionized when the AX flying was picked up. 2)Whatever TSA pilots did in the past has NOTHING to do with what you've done in the present. Thats always been your arguement......however we boned up the industry in the past by accepting substandard wages, as everyone of you did. Its up to our younger brothers to stand up to management and refuse employement. Maybe if you had balls to begin with than We would be faced with the **** sandwich that all of you made for us.....You already SCREWED ME....so sorry if I dont feel sorry for you. Get YOUR time and MOVE ON. |
I was hired at TSA after the AMR deal so I don't know the exact facts (I thought it had to do with a scope clause so AMR could get crj 700's), regardless...
I started when go-jets was formed and after a year and a half of reserve I was furloughed as go jets hired and hired and hired, pretty frustrating. As a result of the furloughs there was a mass exodus and I am happy to be away from that mess. However you magnum man and who ever else defends go-jets have no reason to defend what you did. You know what you did, so dont try to justify it in any way shape or form. There are alot of people who know what went on and will not forget. Have fun with your career. I love my job, but not at the expense of others losing theirs. |
thowe,
I jumped at the chance to pay you back....remember the "Relax Eagle" stickers to counter our "No Alter Eagle"stickers? You took our upgrades as well as ten of our airlplanes.......you used our groundcrews, and claim you got our work fair and square, yet you got paid less than our turboprop drivers. YOU call that fair and square??? I call it "BullSHEEET" I have always remembered and I am loving it now.......SCREW ALL OF YOU for what you have done to me and the rest of us at eagle......Now you will get yours and I will love it.. |
Im confused Magnum, are you at Eagle or at GooJets. Your ramblings are getting harder and harder to follow...
