This is not really all that true. LGA EMJ is still one of the more senior FO bases since those who live in that area have a much easier drive over JFK. Also neither NY base is all that large, and there are a good amount of people who came to Eagle looking for a NYC base and live in CT/NJ and want LGA over JFK to save 20-50min drive time. LGA CRJ is also not really super junior since the CRJ is sort of preferred, though this has been offset by the need for CRJ pilots driven by the additional CRJ purchases last year. I personally feel the NY CRJ base as a whole is shaky since AMR seems to want to move them around. The reason for the CRJ bases being rocky is because AA pilot scope limits how many we can have, however the demand is all over the market for them, so the keep shifting the routes they are on around.
JFK EMJ is junior, but I would say as of right now MIA EMJ is the most junior of the jet bases. It is changing monthly, but saying all of NY is the most junior is not an accurate statement. HOWEVER if I were starting class tomorrow, I would pick LGA EMJ if I wanted NYC. I say this because it has the most number of people approaching upgrade. Jfk a year ago was.fairly senior and went really junior because of upgrades.
