I don't think it's that difficult to find people right now.

It's definitely getting more and more difficult to find quality applicants.

You might be surprised. Just because a pilot can check a box that they have a certain amount of hours, doesn't make them qualified to fly for my airline.

Good. Then it shouldn't be too difficult for Delta to sunset the agreements as the 50s are retired and transition the flying back inhouse.

Wouldn't it be Karma if the companies got a large turn-out for this thing and then tanked. So you're telling me I DON'T get my interview at ASA?

Gee, that's kind of like when all of those professors were telling all of the student pilots that they would be making the big bucks shortly after they graduated.

One disappointment after another.

I didn't go to UND, but I did go to an aviation program. Anyways, it is funny how as a prospective student the faculty sold the sunshine, but once you were in, the same faculty started revealing their true feelings towards the industry. But hey-its all good because they needed enrollment to keep their jobs.

I think kids of today have a big advantage to have all the internet resources to check things out. I am glad to see them come on the forums before making the plunge into ERAU or UND. At least we can say they were warned.

About 1,000 of us at Mesaba had gauranteed jobs at NWA/Delta until they changed their mind last fall. Now we don't...

That agreement is about as worthless as the "valuable" sim time. That part almost made me shoot coffee out my nose because I was laughing so hard.

About a year ago i started to worry about programs like these. Delta and other legacies need to worry about staffing not only their airline, but also the regionals as well. Whats a way to do this, don't hire any current regional pilots, instead, let them be mentors to these bridge program pilots that we will hire when they get 1200 hours! Problem solved.
I dont care what you fly in flight school, if you are never in command of anything turbine or turbo prop powered you just never have the experience that you need to fly the amount of passengers the majors fly.

Won't matter if ASA doesn't exist in two years time.

Give it a rest ladies, this place (ASA) is a sinking ship.

Best find your EMB manuals online and start reading up in preparation for your transition class.
