Why CommutAir:
From a geographer’s standpoint, your website encapsulates my very thoughts perfectly: “Based in the beautiful Lake Champlain Valley between New York's Northern Adirondacks and Vermont's Green Mountains, CommutAir provides scheduled air transportation to 24 cities in 8 States”.
Geospatially speaking, the location of your company and routes are both very picturesque and different from Los Angeles, CA!
Furthermore, you fly B1900D’s, a turbo-prop which would make for a nice transition into a Part 121 carrier from General Aviation. It would be a great learning experience and stepping stone.
CommutAir has stability within the company and job security. As far as I know, you are not seeking to take over the regional market. In addition, your company will be receiving Q200’s-Dash 8’s in early 2007. My understanding is that it will be replacing the B1900s and based at CLE.
On a final note, I want to work for a company that sends an applicant positive space travel pass, and picks up hotel room and tax, demonstrating care of its employees.

First, let me start off by saying that I did interviews at the last company for which I worked. The letter you posted sounds like you are trying a little too hard. They will see that as a ploy to take their attention away from something else. Even if there is nothing else, that is how it might appear. If you want a REALLY good reference book, there is a thin book called "sixty seconds and you're hired." It's cheap and breaks down HR questions and tells you why they are asking that question and what they are looking for in your answers. Don't come across as having "canned" answers. Just like the other guys have mentioned: personality, personality, personality. You are qualified for the position, otherwise you wouldn't have an interview. Now they just want to see if you will make it through the program and if they can spend 4 days with you. If you have any questions, pm me.

That personal statement was way too formulated. Sounded like, and i know you did, just took blurbs off their website and put it onto paper. When you said something about the personal statement i figured it was going to be about who you are where you come from and why it makes you the best man for the job. You need to just relax man, like everyone else is saying just go in and be yourself. You seem to be trying to hard. Take a deep breath, and honestly just have fun with the interview.

Two words: RE LAX!
I have never heard of anyone doing something a personal statement at a regional airline. Like everyone else has said, you are already qualified for the job now they just have to like you. A canned statement is not going to do that. I wouldn't want to spend a 4-day with someone who was only able to communicate their personality and who they are through memos...

Hey guys,
I've been waiting for about a couplemonths now , maybe a little more since i've spread my resume and have gotten no replies what so ever, except for one interview.
It's seems like i'm having the complete opposite problem of actually getting the interviews and that's without having anyone see me...
I'm at 1100TT+/200ME...
Any thoughts?
