Book was published in 2010 so it is current. The author writes abiut his history as a pilot starting out in the 90's at UND and comments about how our industry is failing us in many ways. Focus is on how PFT and the quick short cuts to regional FO create an unsafe and sad work environment for pilots and the public. Its available on Kindle fior $6.

I thought ol' Timmay was an FDNY and NJ ANG fighter pilot, and astronaut, priest, scuba diver, paratrooper, and Eagle FO all in one?

I don't know about the updated version, but the original was horribly written. It was full of terrible grammar, spelling, etc... just like the forums
. That alone made it difficult for me to keep reading.
Anyway - there's an awful lot of doom and gloom in the book. A lot is just one guy's bad experience, which can't be compared to the experiences of everyone else. There are things in the book that will likely hit home for just about anyone, though.
