I just finished reading Squawk 7700. I highly reccomend it to all of us. It reads like our regional forums and maybe somebody will get the message.

Book was published in 2010 so it is current. The author writes abiut his history as a pilot starting out in the 90's at UND and comments about how our industry is failing us in many ways. Focus is on how PFT and the quick short cuts to regional FO create an unsafe and sad work environment for pilots and the public. Its available on Kindle fior $6.

I just downloaded the sample version onto my Ipad. I'll see if it is worth the $6.99 for the full version. From the little I have read so far it seems like the author is/was an Eagle FO.

I thought ol' Timmay was an FDNY and NJ ANG fighter pilot, and astronaut, priest, scuba diver, paratrooper, and Eagle FO all in one?

Yeah, don't forget wine connoisseur and cliff diver. However, I don't think Timmay wrote this one.

I don't know about the updated version, but the original was horribly written. It was full of terrible grammar, spelling, etc... just like the forums. That alone made it difficult for me to keep reading.

Anyway - there's an awful lot of doom and gloom in the book. A lot is just one guy's bad experience, which can't be compared to the experiences of everyone else. There are things in the book that will likely hit home for just about anyone, though.
