Or another standpoint is AA merges with AE and you could've been an AA pilot. ;)

Thats the bait they feed every Eagle pilot.. I took that bait back in the late 90's. Cost me 6 years of chasing my tail.. Eagle was a great place to work, WW LAX Saab was Awsome!! But the dream of being at AA died long before 3 days ago for Eagle pilots. If you live in a Eagle base do it.. If your going there to get on with AA... Well..don't.

We now have 3,200 pilots on the seniority list. That's alot more than I've ever seen here. I think we will be parking our EMB-135/140s and losing the ATRs. Depending on what happens to scope, we coul see a number of new CRJs. In the end, we'll have a fleet reduction and pilot reduction.

Besides furloughs, I don't know where the attrition would come from. We have a number that are supposed to flow to AA, but classes there have halted.

If you have nothing better to do, I'd go to Eagle, but not at the expense of going to a more stable carrier.

Don't do it.

I thought you went to GoJet.

I was hired in September at Gojet but I was put in a pool and I am still swimming.

If fact, are you hiring?

The first year money sucks but we set our budget up so we can survive it. Got lots of money in savings for this. Just don't want to nix a flying opportunity at my current company just to be f'ed in a year. But at the same time, don't want to miss a flying opportunity either. If I did the interview but declined, think Eagle would consider me down the road if they stay viable?

Do the interview. It's good experience; the more of 'em you do, the better you get at them. You don't have to take the job.

^^^^What this guy said^^^^
What both these guys said, I did the eagle interview about a year and half ago, and it was a good experience for sure...

Good luck to ya

I'd do the interview (if it doesn't cost you money to get there).

I applied to a large orange airline and just kept turning down the interview each time. That didn't seem to upset them, but if I'd been offered a job and turned it down, I don't think they would have ever called me again.

I went through two of the three interviews at AA and turned down the third (personal reasons, not my best move) but they still interviewed me 4 years later after lots of begging.

I don't think going to work at a carrier in BK is a good idea. If there are furloughs and God forbid any type of merger, the furloughees are generally stapled at the bottom of the merged list (although not always).

Well the decision was just made for me! Just got an email saying they are canceling all upcoming interviews in light of the BK filing. Anyone else get this email? My interview was Dec 20th
