Which of the Cut Above fabrics are the coolest/breathe best in this summer heat?

The best shirts I have found are Abbott, they are made in the USA and fit right. Abbott Uniforms - Our company provides custom uniforms of the highest quality and workmanship to Naval Officers and Airline Pilots throughout the world.

hey guys.. I just got a A CUT ABOVE 15.5" Tapered fit 2G..

Stupid me had the girlfriend take it to dry cleaners when it came in the mail.. So, now I cant return it. Its a little tight on my chest, so I'm gonna stick with Pilot House shirts for now..

I have only tried it on. It hasnt been worn for more than 5 mins.. Uniform bank paid for it, so if you want it, PM me. I'll send it for free.. Does better that way than sitting in my closet.

Just a data point for anyone considering Pilotshirts.com, neck buttons on their Pilot House shirts unravel and pop off after a month. In addition, had the worst customer service experience with any online store trying to exchange a couple of shirts (over two months!), and top that with the fact they made a charge to my corp credit card without my approval...and refused to refund it! A Cut Above will have my business from here on out.

FWIW, I had the same issue but switched to the tapered. Still a good fit but relaxed up top. Don't look like a slob with the standard poncho looking shirts. Give that a try if you'd like, worked for me.

I've always worn the VH Aviators. My two complaints of the shirt: a little too much material near the waist and the fact that the epaulet holders are like 8 inches long. I'd really like them to be just longer than the epaulets themselves.

Will A Cut Above shirt solve these two issues? 6'1" 195 semi muscular build.

Takes care of the epaulet issue for sure. Waist fabric will depend on which style you choose. Fitted fits nicely in the waist with essentially zero "camping tent" balloonage but it's tight in the arms and doesn't breathe well. It also pills after washing. Supposedly they have a new fabric coming soon that takes care of the pilling issue and won't wrinkle like the stratus does.

It definitely solves the epaulet problem but the waist problem is determined by your neck size. I wear a 17.5" neck and even with their fitted shirts, I still get them tailored to not end up with a lot of extra fabric. They use a 36" belly above a 17" neck I believe and my waist is around 33". You should check the sizes on their website to determine your fit.
