How do you list for the Jumpseat on American? I'm at the gate and the flight leaves in an hour?

Find an agent that will list you, or wait for the agent that is working the flight you are wanting a ride on.

Good luck with your commute.

American wants you to list on the ID90 website, or call the 1-888 number.

Jumpseat Information > Jumpseat Resources > Airline Jumpseat Policies

It is mandatory to pre-list when planning to ride as a jump seat passenger and you can do this up to several days in advance by using the new online listing system. Within 24 hours of travel call 888-933-5922(888-WE-FLY-AA), option 3

This is not the case. Or at least not the case for Compass pilots trying to Jumpseat on American. A gate agent is able to list you for the Jumpseat and they should do so. Their pilots were also informed to make sure the gate agents are doing their jobs.

HIGHLY suggested listing on AA has been around for years. Without it you might be able to find a gate agent that will list you, but most will just tell you to go list before dealing with you.

What I quoted is per the ALPA jumpseat guide. YMMV.

DFW, they are cu***. PHX they are very nice because in reality, they are US Airways.
I try everyone else first, before AA. I didn't pay for my AA benefits this year because you can't really call them a benefit, then to pay another 1.56$ to list for AAC which is no good for jump seat. May as well play slot machines or buy a lotto ticket

Formal apology from a AA pilot. I avoided jumpseating on American before I started working here. Hopefully we will be more accommodating down the road. Definitely list before showing up.

myidtravel.com/myidlisting

I've started jumpseating on AA a lot because I'm usually the only pilot there. I wonder if it's because most people avoid them because of the listing system?
