You must not work at Pinnacle, manuals don't allow us to advertise to the passengers they're flying on a flight operated by Pinnacle Airlines, we're not cool enough like ASA or Sky West

ha ha, that's awesome!!! Your own company is ashamed to say their name to the passengers. But if I am not mistaken the boarding pass says who operates the flight.

Like the other guy said, the manual says not to say "Pinnacle" only Delta/Northwest. So you want to correct him because he went along with what the manual says? And where did SE says he worked for Northwest?

If people can't even find their seat assignment on the ticket, then how on earth will they be able to figure out who is operating the flight?

The real reason was that we had too many pax freak out and think they were on the wrong plane when the crew said "welcome aboard Pinnacle....."
Ah Crap! Wrong plane my ticket says Northwest! (hits call button)
And NWA wanted to hide the fact that they used codeshares from the people that fly once or twice a year but watch Dateline and know how dangerous and unskilled us regional guys are...

I agree with you, they are trying to hide the fact that it's not NWA they are flying on. Just like Eagle used to have RJ on the engines and they had them removed.
