Default Help with headset

Hi guys and gals. I have a question about headsets. In my former life I used a Planetronics model MS50/T30 headset in the 737. Now, I am in the CRJ and I want to use the MS50 headset. I have been told that this will not work since it does not have a noise cancelling mic and does not have adjustable gain. Does anybody have any suggestions on this? What do you CRJ guys and gals use / recommend?
Thanks in advance for your help and suggestions.

I have absolutely no experience or knowledge with your headset, but noise canceling and adjustable gain have zero affect on your ability to use a headset in the CRJ. Most pilots do not have a noise canceling headset and I've never used one with adjustable gain.

If it helps, the Telex 750 is a popular model among the ranks, and the company provided units are plain-Jane David Clarks. My personal recommendation is the Telex 850 if you are going for a light-weight unit. I personally use an 8 year old Bose X. I used the 850 for a while and went back to the old Bose.

I think your Planetronics will be fine; hopefully someone else that has experience with it can weigh in and be more helpful.

Clarity Aloft Pro. It is a bit pricey but I guarantee it is worth the investment. Been using it for over a year now and it is a fantastic setup in the RJ.

Telex is just okay, not great. I tried the 750. It was noisy and did not have great sound quality. I've heard the 850 is better but I never tried it.

Follow-up: I'm flying with a guy that uses your exact headset and loves it. No need to buy a new one.
