Where is 9E Corp's Q4 report?
Am I looking in the wrong places? Thought it was supposed to be out by now. Anyone know a date?

i actually think its going to be the exact opposite. i think the reason they delayed the report is because you can't ask for cuts from the employees when the numbers look good. i think they were planning on us already having a concession deal by now. our on time performance was third in the nation during the fourth quarter. that means not only do we not have penalties like last quarter but we get performance bonuses. i still think we need some streamlining to take place and the united stuff needs to be profitable. i also think we will give some concessions as far as training and vacancies go. we will see soon enough i guess.

Normally your posts are factual and worth reading. But what is this mythical performace bonus? Does it reside amongst unicorns and mermaids? Or am "I" and "you" not included in "we?" ;)
as far as profitability if the 9e 200s and the mesaba 200s and 900s arent getting penalized then we are operating at a profit even with colgan operating at a loss. just like it has been for the last 4 or so years. i understand they want all parts to be profitable but it shouldn't come from the group that just got its first pay raise in seven years less than a year ago. |

More and more this looks like Airline mgmt 101 Imagine being told that these cuts have to be "permanent," all the while our finance people don't agree and the company won't show us why it needs to be permanent. I'm going to tell my bank that the mortgage needs to be less and they just have to trust me that I can't afford the current payments. As I said, doesn't pass the smell test. |

I am glad i am not the only one that is questioning his letter. He seems like he is trying to make sure this stays negative. Employee morale is low and we had some short term good news and yet he wanted to make sure he pointed out that BK may still be the best option.

I don't work at PNCL, but I have seen the letter your talking about. I saw it though Yahoo finance page. Do you guys really think they want to keep it negative and show it to investors?

I just happen to not care. No is my answer to any pay concessions. You can easily save 5% permanently by forcing your SOC to run more efficiently. Until then, you are asking me to subsidize ineptitude. |
I saw that term SOC in the letter. What does that stand for?

Here's how to tell if the company is actually performing poorly as stated: If said company is a U.S. airline, they are performing poorly. |

I do work at pinnacle and I happen to believe Sean is being completely truthful as he sees things. I do believe that he sees a true need for permanent concession to get this company on solid footing.

In fairness, SM did come right out and say a PERMANENT pay cut. No false promises of a snap back.

At least he's honest in telling us we will NEVER see that money again. FPTTLD!!!!! |
Anyone hear more about those 5 new Q400s sitting in Toronto painted in United colors? I've seen them myself but no tail registration yet.

Any big investments come from using the company's money in the market or through the sale of corporate bonds. The terms of the bonds have nothing to do with union contracts. Those are simply risk factors in a 10k. Look closer at the correlation between lowered employee pay and upper management bonuses. |
I'd like to hear how they are going to lower the rent on the new corporate pad by shedding the Saab and Q flying. The fixed costs aren't going away, the Union better not give them any relief in a shrinking scenario. Why was the situation so dire in December? They wanted a resolution by the end of the year but here we are, just a few days from March. I don't believe anything they say. They can threaten me with BK all the want, it won't change my mind. If chapter 11 will fix all their problems like they are pretending then they would have done it already.

(See that Milk Man, I can make a serious post. But, in fairness, it is only because I cannot think of a snarky reply. :( ) |
