SKYW is not going to be putting street captains in the RJ. The brasilia might go down to a few months, but you will still need a lot of time and at least 1000 turbine from another airline.

couldn't agree more with DjHubberts. That is the way to go.
No rush in upgrading at all.
Saying that, I've been an FO for 2, flown thru all seasons, had my share of problems and looking for a left seat (mostly to pay off loans)
Anyone has an opening?

I have 2 friends who just upgraded to CA. 1 was a 2 year F/O with Mesa in the Dash-8, the other was a 4 1/2 year F/O with Eagle in a RJ. Like many have said, it all depends on company need. From what Captains are telling me, you dont want to change seats within the first 18 months in that particular aircraft, just because you want to familiarize yourself with the plane.
