Default ATP during initial training

Does anyone know which regionals give FO's their ATP certificate once completing initial training ? I have heard PSA, AWAC, Republic, SkyWest and Compass all do. Anyone know if this is true ?

I have only heard of Compass and recently Skywest.

Not that you asked for it but......

A bit of advice is that if you are looking to get your ATP do not let that be part of the criteria for selecting a regional that you will likely spend many years at. An ATP can be had for under 2 thousand dollars if you do the research....a paltry price to pay for not ending up somewhere you are not happy with.

i know, my ATP checkride was scheduled for 4/13 and the total cost was going to be roughly $1500. However, i am pretty sure I will be furloughed from my current employer and if other regionals are giving it out as a part of initial training, it doesn't really make sense for me to pay for it out of my own pocket. I just wanted to know if this practice was going on anywhere, especially with the new change in FO qualifications thats about to come.

I wouldn't expect many regionals to start doing this until they have to next year.

Best of luck to you though! If/when you do pick a regional I'd highly recommend picking one that you can be based at home with. You can always buy an ATP. But commuting on reserve will make you want to shoot someone

Cheers!

I'm not sure an ATP is worth buying unless you plan on applying for a job that requires it.

I would assume that any non-bottom feeder who hires you today will give you an ATP before the rule takes effect. Even the bottom feeders will probably end up doing it.
