I read a year or so ago that there is a gain adjustment screw located somewhere on the Bose. Adjusting the gain fixed the problem for many users. You might search this site or FI for Bose and find your solution.

Try getting a stereo to mono adapter from radio shack. For some reason I remember when I used mine on the atr and emb I had issues and I think that resolved it.

My vote for avatar of the year.

I literally didn't read a single post after this one. However.....Rampers broke my Bose X about 3 weeks ago. I called Bose and sent it in. They orignally quoted me $170 for repair and refurbish. I had it back within a week of sending it in and they waived the fee. I paid nothing above the cost of mailing it to them.

Send it to them, they'll take care of you.

Why in the world were rampers messing with your stuff is the better question.

They told me my chart case opened and they fell out. Who knows what really happened. All I know is they went to the bin intact and came out of it in two pieces.

I'm not sure hickspilot understands anything she posts about. She just posts to post.
