I know someone that works in the ground handling management in DFW, they said Eagle put in competitive bids on all the openings, she thinks Eagle might get most of it.

Amazing how a corrupt system can work like clockwork.
So we're swapping planes we own for planes we don't own?

We have to give back the planes that we have a loan on because we do not own them. We own a few seats maybe a tire or two.

Its great how Menke basically said the only way they would get that money is if greater concessions are given up than they originally asked for. I love how it's the pilot groups fault for mgmt bad choices yet they get massive raises and the labor groups have to pay for both!
Not to cut Menke any slack (the guy is still a lousy sack of ****) but this is more of Delta's doing than anything. I hope the judge doesn't approve their DIP financing.

Delta was the one who called the shots. As others have said, nothing could have been done by outside forces if Delta wanted PNCL to file BK, and thats what they wanted.

Now, what makes Menke so worthless has nothing about the filing. It's about how he asked for concessions all the while knowing that he and Spanjers were planning on using the BK trouble as leverage to get more $$ from the Board. The cherry on the top was after all this, he had the nerve to cry like a 6 year old girl and cry about the toll this will take on his family.

Menke is not a leader; leaders dont cry, run when it gets tough, use his subordinates as leverage, etc...He is a joke.

YES!

On a call that had employess who feed their families on $20,000 a year, he was crying one the toll this will take on his family. He was brought to tears with the notion of having to support his family on $600,000 plus bonuses.
