Default Did SkyWest stop hiring???

Got a call from a buddy saying that SkyWest postponed his interview indefinitely and would call him when they decided to start interviewing again. His interview was scheduled for next Thursday. Anyone heard any reasons why?

Also, is anyone curious as to why they are holding an open house in Cincinnati? Does that have anything to with the prospect of picking up ComAir flying that was put up for bid a month ago?

And... is ASA going to strike?

As you know. They said that they are done interviewing until atleast the middle of November. She said that it could be until the end of November. They are still going to do the group interviews but the personal in SLC are on hold. If they are desperate for pilots I hope that the interviewing starts up soon. From all the hiring that has been going on I can see that the hiring personell may need a break.
Hey John, I am still running the frustration out.

Last week they were continuing to hire into a Nov 13 CRJ class and a Brasilia pool. I guess November already filled up.

I know they are maxed out on sim time. My guess is, they are hoping more ASA guys jump ship, I hear a lot of fo's are coming over.
What they are doing is very unethical.
I just hope we will back up our brothers over at ASA and vote in a union.
This $hit needs to stop.

I think they are backed up pretty far on IOE right now, that may be the bottleneck. They certainly need pilots...

when is the ALPA vote going to be, out of curiosity? Are people openly discussing their opinions about going union, or should i keep my thoughts to myself when i get there?

As a new guy feel free to ask all the questions you like, there are plenty of folks who are MORE than willing to tell you their opinions...

Just avoid coming off as militant one way or the other, you never know which camp your instructors are in...

yea thats one of the things that scares me, i dont want to be labeled as pro this or anti that when i get there, and then get on someones bad side. and being on someones bad side is BAD during probation
