Default Jump seating question on united

Happened twice now. Go to list for the jump seat and can't cause the picture does not put up on the computer. Worked before on united but not now. Any one have any idea how to fix this or who to talk to about it. Any advice would be much appreciated. Thanks

Really sorry to hear about this. The computer transition has been a total and complete nightmare, especially for jumpseaters. If it makes you feel any better, I've been locked out of jumpseating by the computer twice... and it's my own airline.

The best thing you can do is contact your jumpseat coordinator at your airline IMMEDIATELY and give them all your information. They will work it through our j/s coordinator. Hopefully it will be resolved soon.

Had a buddy with the same problem. Turned out the file size of the picture was too big. Yup, definitely call your Chief Pilot and your rep on the jumpseating com.

I was in the cockpit asking the CA for a ride while the agent was running my ID, it was taking awhile so I went up to check. He was trying his hardest but couldn't get me listed. My CASS check was fine but he couldn't get me on the paperwork. The flight was already delayed so I got left behind. I also had to go down and have the rampies open up the bag door to get my bag. I was ****ED.

The gate agents are going through all kinds of hell with the new system.

As of two days ago they're still trying to figure it out. They're still just as friendly as ever (sans one male agent in STL who shall go nameless....)

Remind them that only Mainline UAL has the ability to list prior. Some of them still seem to think Express pilots can, Expressjet could up to last year, but not anymore either.

Picture still shows up on other airlines an known crew member. Talked to chief pilot said he would look into it. The captain came up and called his chief pilot and made it work. Flight went out late. Kept apologizing for making them late but he said if this keeps making flights late they will do some thing about it quicker.

Weird since I had an Expressjet CA list ahead of me the night before on a flight from MCO-IAH last week. He was ahead of me on the non rev list so seeing him on the non rev list and the jumpseat list the night before shows that they can still list via online somehow.

As an Express guy, the only way I have been able to "list" before showing up at the gate is when I have gotten rolled from one flight to the next. Got to the gate for the next flight and new agent tells me I am already listed for the jumpseat. Looked at the list myself and sure enough, there I was. Apparently it depends on how the agent does it but sometimes the jumpseaters roll over with the other SAs. Could he/she have been rolled from the last flight of the night to next flight in the morning?

Only other thing I can think of is that jumpseater has a friend who is an agent and had them do a "favor".
