Long distance two-leg commute = total disaster. That means you have to cross your fingers for good loads on two segments, good weather in three cities, and you just doubled your odds of getting hosed by any unforseen events like MX.

Bring lots of books, Ipad/kindle, and enjoy the job while it lasts... how many commuter clauses do you get before getting fired??

I've commuted for 7 years in and out of MCO to LGA, SDF, IAH and ATL.

For 3 of those years it was commuting to RSV.

For 3 of those years, it was 'off-line' (not an employee of the airline I was riding).

I wouldn't wish that experience on my worst enemy. QOL is non-existent.

Things got a little better when I started riding my own airline and had a better shot at the jumpseat. They got a little better still when I got off RSV. I always gave myself 3 flights (even if that meant the night before) and with 2 exceptions, I always made my show.

Some of the best advice I was given when I started at a Regional was 'never move for an RJ'. RAH opens and closes domiciles with stunning regularity. (Anyone remember CRP?)

Default Commuting out of South Florida

Good info so far,

Just checking to see if anyone has any info on the commute out of FLL/MIA to ATL/IAD/DTW. Moving is not an option right now so just trying to get myself ready for the rsv commute.
