Unhappy How do people get hired at TSA/Gojets?

Ok so from my understanding You apply at TSA, get the job then find out you get put on the GOJETS side. This sounds rediculous to me, especially becuase they have their own independant website and looks like their own seperate application, but guys I have talked to say you find out you are put on the "GOJETS" side while in training. This sounds like a GOJETTER trying to use an excuse, but is there any truth to that or are they two completely different entities? Thanks fellas

my experience, thus far (was hired, but haven't recieved the final paperwork confirming everything), was this:

was interviewed by Trans States Captains, my paperwork all said TSA (no mention of Trans States Holdings or Gojet, if i recall correctly), and talked to TSA's recruiter. i also was asked if i wanted the STL or RID base, and as GJ has no RID domicile, i'm assuming that's a good thing.

a friend that interviewed last fall about this time interviewed with TS Holdings, and they then called a day or 2 later to offer him a job, with Gojet. (he declined)

but i'd wait till flynavyj rings in on this, as he's just finishing training right now. he'll have a more current view on things

That happened last October. They cancelled the October TSA class and offered everyone in that class a position at GoJet. So yes, that did in fact happen. When I was there, they were not interviewing for TSA holdings, it was either GoJet or TSA and to my knowledge every person KNEW what interview they were going to. I heard only one person from that October class took it and supposedly the guy who took it, his girlfriend was an FO at TSA???

And just for you new guys, when TSA decides to furlough again because they have one too many guys sitting on reserve, your flight managers will tell you that GoJet is hiring and it isn't that bad over there. They will tell you that the company is growing, you will accrue seniority real quick, etc. etc. Hope you don't fall for it!

That rumor exists because it happened to one class a little over a year ago when GoJets first started. They showed up and were told their TSA 145 class was unfortunately cancelled but if they wished, a CRJ class was beginning on the next floor up in the training center. Also about a month later they cancelled another class, but decided to call everyone a week before hand and invite them to a CRJ class instead. It is my understanding that in an effort to pretend that the two companies are different they are no longer doing this. The company doesn't want to do anything that might jeopardize a court decision, the scope in the TSA contract specifically says all flying by Trans States shall be accomplished by pilots on the Trans States seniority list. The only way to get around that is to pretend it's another company.

GoJet has been hiring since I started with TSA, and we've known that they were hiring specifically for GJ. All of the people who got an offer out of their TSA interview have gone to TSA. Anybody who tells you that Holdings is currently switching stuff around like that just doesn't want to 'fess up to applying to GJ.
