QOL: Horrid.. standups everynight on a roach infested airport terminal.. load bags, deice the plane, checkin pax, file a flight plan all for what rounds out to be about $2.50 an hour if you factor in duty. At least 5 days a week.

Thanks guys, I really appreciate the info. I am actually from Hawaii and would love to return to work there but based on what I have read about this company previously and today...just confirms the culture there hasn't changed. I was watching a couple of Youtube videos from passengers who flew PW and they seem pretty happy with there experience flying with them. Perhaps the pilot had his poker face on, as he appeared to be happy.

Have they been in any accidents or incidents? It is pretty appalling this is taking place at a pax company...i know some freight companies do some bending here and there..i would think the feds would be more stringent here.

Are you really trying to justify working for a craphole based off of youtube videos?

I don't have any reason to lie... Have you read any good things at all? From ANY pilot that used to work there? Oh and that website that was just posted should tell you all you need to know about the attitude of management.

If you go after reading all this you deserve what's coming. I wish I had someone to tell me.

They had an EAS contract out of BNA to a few towns in KY and TN. When the 2 years was up, none of the communities wanted them back. Even if it meant no air service at all.

PW never said anything about parking at an FBO at BNA, and shuttling pax across the field to the terminal. When this was discovered, PW was always "in negotiations for gate space". The gates never happened, and having to clear security at BNA, negates the benefit of flying. Throw in the slowness of the 208, and you might as well drive.

Not that any of this relates directly with being an employee there, but if they BS the customers this way, it likely carries over to their treatment of pilots as well.

FSU Pilot is very knowledgeable on this subject, as am I. We both worked there together. DO NOT WORK FOR PW! It will ruin you as a person. I would say probably around 75% of the people that leave PW have been fired, and 24% actually had the opportunity to quit. Usually when you want to quit, they fire you. Like washing airplanes on your days off? Calling businesses to advertise PW on your days off? These are all things you will do if you work for PW, and if you refuse, you will be fired. Find something else, seriously.

While doing my research I found out that the company will "stand" behind you if you refuse an airplane and/or don't want to take a flight. They'll go along with the decision since the company doesn't want to violate FARs. However, I was told you can all but guarantee a pink slip showing up a few days later.

Not true at all, they have fired people on the spot for refusing to fly through severe icing.

Ya right... hey feds. Its easy. Compare cessna labor hour estimate for phase inspections and pw labor hours actual and your eyes willl pop like mine did after watching these guys... feds? Feds? Feds?
