Default Cape Air Questions

I just had a few questions for any Cape Air guys out there. What is a typical schedule you fly each month? Are any planes based in BOS or do they all returnt to HYA each evening? Would it be possible to live in Boston and fly for Cape Air out of there or commute to HYA?

typical schedule sucks. 13 hr days. 5 days a week. 60 hrs a week of duty.
you are home at night, but what's the point if you just have to go sleep to be there for a 5:30 AM show.

yes there is planes based in BOS but you'll have to bid on it, and when I left they were pretty senior.

commuting by car would be easier, the planes aren't very big ya know, so they are usually filled.

Some ppl love it, I didn't. there's no money to be made there, but it could possibly keep the wife happy, since you'll be in home at night.

Where else does Cape Air have bases? Don't they fly in the Caribbean somewhere?

Smoke pretty much got it. It is a great company to work for really fun if you have the MOCHA attitude they have. They have pilot base in BOS but it is very very senior.

Looks like Tampa, San Juan, and Guam, if you count all their operations.

Thanks for the info guys. I think I may have an interview at Cape Air pretty soon, wish me luck. I would love to stay in the northeast if possible, hard to find decent flying jobs around here. I figured Boston would be junior because of the living costs there and thought there would be alot of die hard cape codders working there, guess not, thanks for the the help though!

What exactly is the MOCHA attitude?

What can you expect to make first year at Cape, then second year maybe?

Also what are their multi mins. and how firm are they on them?

Would I be competitive at Cape air?

I have 820TT/50multi.

Do they fly single pilot or use 2?
