to be honest I think the same thing

I cannot see any evidence that they would hire me

but I keep letting them know about my time and they continue not to have a problem with it.

I can see how everone thinks that this does not make sense.
me included

that is why i was asking if there was any low time guys that they let in the door.

I will keep you updated.

I got to call tonight and get my flight and hotel, it could fall through at anytime I would guess.

But I have talked to two different people about this at SkyWest and niether one of them have caught it if it is a mistake.

It is possible that the entry-level pilot market is drying up to the point where they want to grab you before someone else does.

Maybe they will offer you a job, but tell you that you need 1000/100 to start? I would have taken that deal when I had 700 hours, knowing I had a job would have made the last 300 hours a breeze

So if you were offered a job at 700 tt and they told you that you have to get 1000tt before starting would you go and buy that time? Last time I checked 300 hrs weren't cheap, even in a Cessna 152. I just don't see what you can learn in 300 hrs that you didn't know in 700 hrs but that's just me and my .2 cents.

Of course I wouldn't buy it...I'd just keep working the same job I had before. There is a big jump in experience between 250 and about 1500 hours...after that the learning curve tapers off in GA.

I have a hard time believing your situation. I know Camielle personally and I have spoken with her several times about SKW hiring. Not once did she EVER talk about SKW reducing the Multi prerequisite. SKW is not that desperate and if they were they would still stand strong on the Multi prereq. I can see them reducing the 1000tt to 900 or even 800 but not 600 & 50. Those are Great Lake mins! I'm sure that there is a misunderstanding somewhere.

Understand that the hiring CA's who make the decision on you will notice and will probably send you home.

I do hope that after the interview you post the results, honestly!

Best of luck!

Todays PDX group interview: 30-40 applicants, only did HR. The Bro hiring is slowing way down and they are looking for over 1700 total with some turbine to go to the RJ. What I was told was that they are filling only RJ classes right now. That came straight from an interview captain. There is a class of 8 starting Jan 8,2007 for the bro and there are 20ish people in the pool. Some people with higher times did get an interview date in SLC but other with lower time got the, " we will call you."
The people at SkyWest are great and I really enjoyed talking with everyone. They went over the mins today and agian stated 100/1000 and competative 1000/2500. They have a lot of applicants but they are still being picky.

Allow me to poke a hole: how can you only have 30 multi yet have 40 hours in a king air? Them numbers don't seem to add up. 'splain.

Well in certain cases is who you know. I would think an ERAU alumn like yourself would know something about that, since every ERAU grad I've ever met claims connections to just about everyone out there.
