I just think it's dumb, bro.

I flew for an airline that went CH7 (ATA). And it kind of sucks knowing there is a likelihood you're going to lose your job and have to take a lower paying one. Or unemployment.

People posting polls about "Hey! How long before your airline doesn't exist anymore" is just gay. It sounds almost gleeful. Maybe the OP actually flies for Pinnacle and not a competing regional. And isn't not so secretly glad his competing regional might be getting more planes. Or maybe he doesn't, and is. It's still simply a **** thread. And I felt like expressing it.

Anyway, I guess the commuters are still full of 24 year olds. I wouldn't have had a problem with this thread back then.

Carry on with your poll

I understand your anger, but I think it is misplaced. I didn't take the original post as a slap in the face. I took it as an honest question. I am trying to decide what I will do and when, and other people's thoughts, while not absolute guidance, give me a second opinion on my own thoughts.

I thank you for defending us from disrespectful folks, but this time, I think the op was asking an honest question.

Probably because they don't have the cash to get it done and Delta isn't going to finance the morons at 1 Commerce anymore.

Disregard option 4 above...

So total shut down, or just a 200 wind down with no 1113 follow up?

I find it kind of odd they wouldn't go back to court, in the previous XJ bankruptcy I believe they refiled three times. I guess it is possible we are close to an agreement.

I would say if they are close to an agreement, what's the point if going back to court?

As an executive, if you knew you were going to completely wind-down, why would you bother going back to court? Since when has any "close agreement" (or any dealing at all) with ALPA influenced anything with corporate?

Answer: Never

That sounds like pretty bad news for the company...

True.

"Remorse?" "Loyalty?" Those are pilots' downfalls.

Management is not burdened by those very, very expensive emotions. We shouldn't be, either.

Then why do you have seniority system and seniority-based pay?

Get rid of seniority-based pay and end the whipsaw. It doesn't take an MBA to see two guys doing the same job - one for $100/hour and the other for $60/hour and ask why should there be such disparity between guys doing the same job and then insist that the job gets done for $60/hour as opposed to $100/hour.
