I won't give names, but I've heard that there's an airline that gets tons of bad press, and oftentimes has to call the police to quell the riots that start when the passengers find out that their $9 fare didn't include soda or the use of overhead bins. It's some of the same investors who are looking at us now, so it's got to be a true rumor.

That would be undesirable.

Nothing is more "undesirable" than status quo.

I don't mean that in a RAH vs F9 kind of way or an IBT vs FAPA battle.

Any F9 pilot with a hint of reality and perspective realizes that F9 in its current form is unsustainable. Sure we are "profitable" (as in Balance Sheet/P&L) on an annual basis for one of the first times in years. But Siegel recently pointed out that we are still operating with a negative cash flow.

There WILL be additional consolidation amongst the LCC's. Wether or not F9 participates in the consolidation or just dies on the vine remains to be scene, but the chances of "Frontier" existing in three or four years is basically 0%.

The imminent transaction involving F9 and some other entity (probably not another air carrier) will probably provide a glimpse of where Frontier Airlines is headed next.

On a related note, why haven't sizzle or tiller or vega or any of the RAH gents commented on my question a few weeks ago. Are you guys going to support the Frontier pilots as we strive to increase "pay and benefits" for all professional pilots (you know, your excuse for litigating LOA 67) or are you going to proceed with your efforts to prevent an investor from purchasing F9?

How would RAH pilots/teamsters block an investor purchase?..the only thing i demand is the transaction be lawful and comply with the few protections the RLA provides.

I think some at RAH would insist on having the list implemented. Most of these would be the lifers. Im not sure what the legalities would be if F9 were sold, but my guess is IBT would try and enforce the list.

Question to our f9 friends: is ttn will be a base or are you getting tdy'ed there

Bolo 01-09-2013 05:15 AM

I believe not. The planes will mainly go through all of the Florida destinations then do all of their flying for a three or four day trip out of TTN and return through Florida to DEN as well. In April, I believe that a lot of this will be done as well by MDW/ORD crews as well when we start servicing MDW. Other cities that we can get to TTN are by way of ATL,MSY and DTW.

Thanks. I heard the other day on the jumpseat you are losing 5 19s but will gain 3 used 320s. Whatever makes you keep your jobs..

Have a great day..

I assume they will try. Hasn't there been a precedent set already when a certificate gets sold?

Also, be careful what you wish for. If Frontier succeeds (and grows substantially) and the list stays, how many jobs will that create for RAH pilots? 300 maybe? If Frontier fails, then how many Frontier pilots will come to RAH when their ship has sank? A couple hundred maybe? May not be a good wager to take for the majority at RAH.
