RAH / Frontier - Continued
Wow, from the 357 conference call today, Frontier Management told the EBoard on Tuesday that Frontier is going to furlough.
357 is filing a group grievance to let Frontier pilots fly the 190’s and the Q400’s, so they can fill the vacancies at Atlantic City and Laughlin, NV.
It was funny, one Board member started to lie about the grievance, “That’s not true, we haven’t filed that, so I don’t know where you’re hearing it.”
Then another EBoard member, who was much more truthful explained why they are going to file the grievance. Shame on the first one for trying to lie!
They say they HAVE to do this to avoid a DFR suit, I guess from Frontier pilots, but what about a DFR suit from native RAH pilots who don’t get to upgrade or are displaced?
If a Frontier pilot gets to bid a 190, what is their longevity and what do they get paid? Do they get their IMSL seniority? Do they get to bid a base over RAH pilots?
Do we (FO’s) get to bid the Busses, what’s our longevity and pay? Do we get to use our IMSL (not that it would affect anything for us tier 3 pilots)?
What is the grievance based on? Was there a CBA violation or are we grieving the Eischen award?
How do the Frontier pilots move from one company to another? Will they be under our CBA or the Frontier CBA?
Why did we have to hear it on a conference call instead of a Blast, PDU or something?
Oh, and bonuses are $100/year up to $1000, the rich at the top get richer…
Frontier gets nothing, which is what they earned this year.

I thought F9 was leaving the party early next year. I seriously doubt any F9 bro's would put up with the abuse of the regional airline world. Plus the guys who get sent to the street would be very junior. Why would a junior F9 FO go to the 190 as an FO?

Three facts:
I would rather be furloughed from my current job than still be working at RAH.
A 4 year F9 FO on furlough would take home considerably more in unemployment than he would working as a 4 year FO under the RAH contract.
3662 is a whiner.

They have awarded several COLA's and more may be pending. We could also reduce line values to keep everyone on the property.
It "sounds" like 357's EBoard took advantage of their meeting with Frontier Management and spun the heck out of what was probably confidential information.
If the EBoard keeps up their status quo when meeting with Management groups, they may not have ANYone left willing to meet with them in what is supposed to be a constructive manner.
IBT has a history of releasing information and data without permission or prior to being authorized to release that information. Just one more example...

Interesting to see what the FroBros are gonna do. They complained forever about native RAH'ers wanting to take their "coveted" bus seats....so now they are gonna take our "coveted" puny RJ seats when facing a furlough??
We shall see the moxie....

Why would a F9 FO go to the right seat of the 190? Hell why would they go to the left seat of the 190? I'm sorry but the RAH contract is horrible by regional standards, so why put up with that abuse. Nothing to see here!

I was going to comment on the furlough issue but it hardly seems worth the time. If the 357 is going to put the cart in front of the horse and shove it down the hill, I'll sit back and watch.
As for the 357 and their meetings with Frontier management, I am amazed that each month they bring 5-7 of members of the eboard out for these junkets. I am sure the flight loss pay, hotel, and per diem charges are huge. All in the name of representing a group that has no intrest in them.
