I will say this. My experience at NWA/DAL is that the heavier drinkers are retired military. Not saying that is the current military mentality, but I see trends among them.

Not sure how you think you've experienced a large enough sample to make that very broad (and very ignorant) generalization.

I will say, my experience has been exactly the opposite to yours.

Like I said, it has been mine. It's not meant as an insult. I never said they were irresponsible individuals. I never felt any of them were compromising the safety of their passengers or crew. None of them ever showed up under the influence.

Dude, c'mon. Where is that coming from? Military guys are no more prone to drinking than anybody else. If that's been your experience, it's been a fluke. Since I've seen both sides, I can't determine any pattern - people are people.

The same goes for people who are wanting him strung up. You can't pass judgement until all the facts are available.

Like I said, it wasn't intended as an insult. They were all responsible, competent pilots and CAs. They used excellent judgement, and I'd have no problems putting my families lives in their hands. I'm sorry if I offended anyone. It wasn't my intention. I come from a family with members in all 4 branches. I have the utmost respect for our men and women of the military. I apologize for painting with a broad brush.
