Hopefully DL will see it in their best interests to get these guys over to mainline and not bust their balls too hard. I have total faith that our senior guys can make it through the interview, in anycase. :D

honestly, I think 50% 0f the top 300-400 would bypass......mainly due to age, not wanting to uproot/commute, sit reserve etc.

Piedmont had a conteactual flow through with airways. Airways squirmed out of it, turned it in to a pref interview, and less than 10 of their 400 were hired.

I agree. Most, if not all, of the super senior aren't going anywhere.

Unlike 9E, Piedmont pilots have never flown the CRJ900 widebody transitional jet.. and probably could never handle the transition to the airbus or E190. :p

This SSP was nothing but a carrot to dangle to entice senior pilots at 9E to vote in favor of this concessionary deal that reduced their pay roughly 25% and retirement benefits by 50%. Once you show up for your one day interview, which I'm sure is the typical 3 day condensed into one day, they will have the "Thanks but no thanks" response waiting for you. DALPA is ****ed their mgmt and 9E ALPA worked a backroom deal without them being privy to it. I expect those DALPA members who hire to screw the 9E guys each month they show up for their 1 day interview and send them back to 9E with their rejected letter

I am in that 150-300 seniority and I plan on bailing ASAP.

Delta has no plans to staple 9E, that's a pipedream.

kingairfun 01-15-2013 12:32 PM

Anyone who thinks Delta is going to staple the 9E pilots.. Or anyone who thinks that some good is going to come out of all of this....hasn't been around the industry long enough..

And NO, being around since 2007 isn't long enough.

Interesting theory but Pinnacle has a minimum number of slots per month for training. Too meet that quota they have to hire some of the Pinnacle guys. Sounds like your trying to throw salt......
