I would go Skywest 100%. Xjt is good but their future is uncertain. Skywest has a great future ahead of them 30 airplanes next year and to up to 60 possible with added flying that will be announced the end of dec.
That and xjt is non-union which is a big + especially in this day an age.

Even though the regional industry is a crapshoot, you should still use the information at hand to make the best decision. The information we have at hand is that Skywest is gaining 11 more CRJ-700s (at ASA's expense) and 10 more CRJ-900s. ExpressJet is losing work for 54 ERJ145s (15 jets to be used in charter operations). It would certainly suck to get through training in February only to get furloughed a few months later.

Colgan is what it is. I didn't particularly care for it either. I hope no one gets furloughed at XJT, but this guys is looking for realistic advice between a contractor that is getting additional work and a contractor that is losing work. You have to assume that XJT is losing business for 54 aircraft until they publicly announce plans for these surplus 50 seaters. You use the best information at hand to make the wisest decision.
