No, more likely everyone was so worried about getting their vote in for Mini Indy after their 3 hour lunch break that they forgot, then it turned 3:55 and it was time go get out of there so they said screw it, we'll pay those whining prima donnas tomorrow.

Did you just realize this? How exactly did the company force you to take this job?

I knew this was coming. Nobody forced me to do anything but one would think that a company that employed educated trained professionals would offer a wage people could live on. I consider myself fortunate to have a wife that is willing to work and support us so that I can pursue my dream of flying planes. Many of my former co-worker's spouses hit the road when the pay checks stopped.

What I am getting at is this could be a nice place to hang out for the rest of my career if I could feed my family from it. In the end I am getting more than a pay check from this place and I'll use it to find better opportunities.

Never get comfortable with something that isn't in writing. This is a perfect example. Many people are used to getting paid a day or two early. That has been the precedent for years. The company is under no obligation to pay you until the 15th or the 30th, and remember if those pay dates fall on a Sunday, you will get paid the day after.

If you have bills that are due to be paid on the 14th or 15th, I would recommend paying those earlier because your check might not come until the 16th.

I had to rearrange the way a paid bills when I first started here. Almost all of my payments were due in the first week of the month which was immediately after my lowest check. It took a little bit of planning to even things out.

We're re-inventing the wheel here. This is first year regional pay, and it's better here than most other places. Settle down, handle it, and the second year pay is a nice bump and makes things managable.

The only reason we have first year pay anyway, is because people are willing to work for it. If you're not, then leave, and if enough people do this, they won't have first year pay anymore.

Couldn't you have found what you were looking for at another regional, also? Why XJet if it is so horrible?????

95% of us are here, or were here, just for better opportunities.......

I think you were expecting to be paid mainline wages at a regional. The regionals should never be seen as a "place to hang out for the rest of your career." Get your time and move on to better things.

Exactly. I don't know about anyone else but I have always been paid in the format mentioned above.

Au contraire. They are obligated to pay us early if payday falls on a Sunday. MOU 82.

Here, I'll repost it and maybe you will see it this time.

I never said it was a horrible place to work. I said it would be a nice place to hang out but I can't wait 7-8 years to upgrade, I have kids to send to college.

"95% of us are here, or were here, just for better opportunities....."

I'm in the process of doing the same thing myself, shouldn't be too much longer.
