what? I work for a regional..

Ben, you do day turns. That doesn't count! Plus, you get the water from the airplane. COME ON MAN! I live off of my own body fat on trips, all 2 days in a row.

That's what I use and it's great. I'm a DAL FO and have plenty of $$$ to eat on the road, but choose to pack some stuff in a small cooler. Greek Yogurt, Fruit, String Cheese, Natural PB, Wheat Thins, Cliff Bars, and Dove Dark Chocolate. Makes life alot easier when you know you can go without food during a tight turn or when you get hungry and are at a crappy airport with no good food. I like it best for late layovers when you would rather sleep than go out for an hour to find food.

I still eat plenty from the airport and on layovers and 80kts is right, it's not that hard to find healty food in most airports.....costs alot more than buying it from the grocery store, but you can eat very healty now days if you know what to look for.

I bring a cooler... always a few peanutbutter type sandwiches on whole wheat, some protein bars, yogurts, fruit, brown rice with some sort of meat and veggie for the first day. If I know the hotels we're going to have mini-fridges, I'll bring even more perishable stuff. Tuna packets are awesome. Oh, spicy beef jerky and some sort of nut mix (Planter's Men's Health Mix is my favorite right now). Keeps me going for long legs or quick turns.

Even when I make the big bucks some day and either upgrade or get a better job, I'll still pack. I'd rather spend my money on stuff at home than airport food. That or maybe I'll take whatever I would have spent on airport food every trip and put it towards my kids' college funds...

I bring the LW cooler. Cost about $20, if I remember. It's not too big, and it can carry enough to get me through 3-4 days of tight turns and a lack of good choices. It does save me money, but more importantly, it saves me from going w/o on the 20min turns. I follow about a 80% Paleo diet, so I pack a couple sweet potatoes, nuts, dried fruit, and my go-to is a mix of Starkist Tuna, avocado, almonds and homemade mayo. I also try to cook something beforehand and carry some leftovers. I carry a Sea-to-Summit collapsible bowl for non hand-held stuff. I also carry a few Larabars.
