We'll see how much it's hated when FT/DT rules get set...... Or better yet let's get rid of ALPA and see how quickly Emirates and Qatar get foreign ownership laws changed.......
A few bad apples do NOT represent ALPA and the huge benefits of it as a whole......

Is that the same ALPA that stopped age 65 from happening? Oh wait.....

ALPA has more than its fair share of so called bad apples.

alpa did not push for the new ftdt back in 1992 when it mattered, it did not effect the mainlines they had contract wording better than FAR's. They did not do anything now, congress did and the faa has dragged its feet and ALPA has said nothing.

ALPA is all about where the money is, that is who alpa represents.

65 isn't something I'd blame on them at all..... It was bound to happen after the unfortunate events at the turn of the century.... Do I disagree with it? Hell yeah but I wouldn't blame ALPA on that......

KCM, FT/DT, FAA reauthorization bill etc etc are great accomplishments recently ALPA has had a hand in and all pilots who are represented by them have as well.....

Find me a better Aeromedical department, better insurance programs, accident investigation etc and then I'll begin to listen.... No way any in house association or Teamsters can give a member the same support......

Last I checked DAL/UAL and Fedex all have some of the best contacts out there? Compare it to the others and tell me ALPAs resources didn't assist in securing that?

Haha seriously if your an ALPA member in good standing I strongly encourage you to contact your membership rep at national and see if you could get a tour...... To say ALPA isn't pushing to get these rules finalized is ignorant at the very least.......

Also unless your donating to the PAC none of your union dollars are going towards political posturing...... Your elected reps on the Hill are to blame more then ALPA......

What's USAPA, APA, SWAPA done to get these rules pushed through? Nothing more then ALPA.......

I agree ALPA National has an agenda. However the local ALPA leadership and it's committee structure wouldn't be possible without nationals resources. XJT has one of, if not the best ALPA Committee structures around.

They didn't even try in the least bit to not let it happen. That would have taken some stones, something ALPA hasn't had in a very long time. They were on board with it the whole time.

You haven't a clue my friend. Each airline had a vote, the only two airlines that voted against supporting age 65 was XJT & NWA. If you are going to be super critical of ALPA (and you have every right) at least do some research and know what you're talking about

Wow, three whole examples of carriers that have good contracts. How many carriers does ALPA represent? ALPA has been a part of the continued whipsaw and most of the crappy contracts that represent the majority of what ALPA has to offer.
