XNA is not only an important maintenance hub for Eagle it is an important connection hub for interchanging aircraft in our route system (since we don't fly hub-to-hub). We have flights to Chicago, Dallas, and New York (LGA) out of XNA. Pilot bases may come and go but XNA isn't going anywhere anytime soon.

What is the current commuting policy for eagle? Searched and found some 2010/2011 info but that is it.

Give yourself 2 flights that arrive at least 45 minutes before departure! If unable to make it you will receive a miss assignment, then go see the chief pilot who you will present the evidence of the two flights and he will change it to commuting policy. Lately they have been hurting for folks (mainly Captains) that they have been giving them confirmed seats on an AA or AE flight to get them there for the flights. This doesn't happen all the time but when they need you Crew Scheduling will do whatever they can to get you there, if they have reserves they'll give you the middle finger most of the time.

Yes, you get 3 per rolling calendar year. I had one while on probation and it was not an issue. I would try to keep it to a minimum though, while on probation.
