Pinnacle Airlines officially emerges from bankruptcy
May 1, 2013
Pinnacle Airlines, helped by financial support from Delta, has emerged from bankruptcy protection and will complete its headquarters relocation to Minneapolis/St. Paul from Memphis by the end of this month, the carrier said in a release.
“We have come a long way since April 1, 2012. Our employees and our airline have weathered difficult changes in order for us to emerge as a competitive regional airline. Our focus is now on becoming a single, cohesive airline, while reshaping our workforce and fleet,” said Ryan Gumm, president and chief executive officer. “We have combined airlines, transitioned fleets, navigated Chapter 11, restructured our entire operation and achieved consensual agreements with our labor groups, all while we continued to operate safely and reliably. Everything we have accomplished is because of this great team of people.”
With the emergence from bankruptcy, a new officer structure announced March 19 becomes effective. Gumm becomes the president and chief executive officer; Barry Wilbur becomes senior vice president and chief operating officer; Loren Neuenschwander becomes senior vice president and chief financial officer; and Mike Becker becomes senior vice president and chief administrative officer.
