I know I don't have a dog in this, but we were talking today and have no idea why the frontier guys passed on SWA and went to bed w Bedford?

A simple search will show you that a bankruptcy judge was the one who ruled in favor of Republic purchasing F9. The bid was higher once BB dropped the massive amount of money that F9 owed RAH for prematurely canceling the 170 feed.

Does this mean the potential buyers are finishing up signing the last couple of documents ? Or do they even have a buyer ? Etc ?

Just wondering what this means and if anyone has some commentary
Don't know. They have told us the sale will be final in a month or two... That was about four months ago. I am not holding my breath.

Eischen's award contemplated this scenario and there are still a few pieces of the puzzle that we (Frontier guys) will use to our advantage when we attempt to unscramble the egg. If Frontier is sold (I am not convinced that RAH won't find a way to screw this up just like everything else) you will definitely see a concerted effort to restore some actual "representation" for the Frontier pilot group.

There is something in our (Frontier guys) CBA regarding Successorship.

We do. Successorship applies to any "entity" participating in a single-step or multi-step transaction. They are bound to our CBA and must assume the pilots employment. (assuming the new owners don't flush the entire organization into a Chapter 22 in an effort to reduce costs)

Oh boy, one of my favorite subjects. Contrary to urban legend, the Frontier guys never passed on anything. We never said no to anything related to SWA. We met via video conference for a few hours, agreed to met again in an effort to work on some details, unfortunately the auction ended and we were stuck with RAH. The FAPA BoD was relatively junior at the time with multiple FO's who would have jumped at the chance to work at SWA. It just didn't happen. We have been participating in the ultimate sh1tshow ever since.

I'd rather be on the bottom of the list at Southwest than on the top of the list at Republic.

Thumbs up

I am glad to hear Frontier is being bought by someone else, other than G4. For some reason that was the big rumor last year. Good luck to Frontier pilots.

And we'd rather have you all on the bottom of the list at SWA than anywhere on the list at Republic.

Seems to me that Spirit or maybe Virgin America would be a good merger partner for Frontier. With all the expansion plans that Spirit has, are they even taking a look at Frontier?
