Guam is a strange animal.. If you're single, it can be tough.. The girls are all either, Navy, teachers, or strippers... The way to tell them apart is.. if they don't have any tatoos, they're teachers, if they have tatoos and are good looking.. there's no way they're in the navy, so it's a stripper..

im amazed at the input were getting from people who havn't been as far west as California...i bet you guys don't even have passports. fyi, guam is a pretty modern island...alot more modern than most small cities in the U.S.
As far as strippers are concerned...why wouldn't they be ideal for long term relationships?
The US has colonized the beautiful island of Guam...the strippers and prostitues came along as soon as bases started going up/\.

cruise, that was some funny stuff. I have been to Guam more times than I can count, never for more than 2 weeks so FWIW: I would imagine the regionaly flying in/out of Guam would get pretty mundane flying to Saipan and back or Okinawa and back. Just my .02.
As for living on Guam: If you like diving and beach life, its definitely for the good. Me personally, I couldn't live there(grew up in WI) so not seeing snow would be an other.
As for Tumon, you can't throw a rock without hitting a strip club. Mac & Marty is a nice bar/cigar bar downtown, but other than that not too many "normal" bars to hang out at. They are all karoake bars with "girls for hire" or strip clubs.
Some good restaurants for sure.
But just like living anywhere else, its what you make of it.
