Default Dress code for first day

Hey Guys,

Prolly repetetive, but wanted to ask what's the proper attire for first day of training? (I'm attending PNCL). The whole interview 3 piece suit.... or just business casual?

Thx

They should have sent you a letter saying what the dress attire is for the CEC. Basically, business casual, no jeans.

Jeans, a t-shirt, and Doc Martins.

I'd go to an FBO get a pilot shirt and epulets, make sure they are the color you'll need. Wear the 4 stripe ones for Impact, polish your shoes. This will send the message that you are a team player and willing to go the extra mile. You'll also stand out in the class.

Also try and get one of those pilot hats, and make it five stripes, to let them know your the best there is.

In my new hire class some wore ties for the first day. After that it was business casual. AWAC's company dress code is biz casual except Fridays when it is 'almost anything goes'.

But the suggestions of a pilot uniform from the FBO are good suggestions! Get some Ray-Bans to complete the look. Maybe a leather jacket with the name "Maverick" sewn on.

You also need to strap a transceiver to your belt. You never know when you may need it.

Wear one of those t-shirts that has a tuxedo printed on it.

Business casual is fine. Most of the instructors wear ties and such but we all wear business casual. A tie is fine if you want to go all out for the first day but it’s not necessary.
