Cliff, what's your beef with SkyWest?
Don't have one.

Perhaps he's making the point that SkyWest must suck the least because less of their pilot group is jumping ship?
Yes.

If you are at a pretty crappy regional (most of them), then a lot of guys will leave. Atlas has a lot of guys from a lot of regionals. I believe the only reason that Atlas would have very few guys from one regional, is that is it is either very small, or no one is leaving. I have heard of one guy from Horizon. It is very small, so that is to be expected.

I have only heard of 2 or 3 pilots from SkyWest, and it is very large. So, to me, that must mean that SkyWest is very good, as no one is leaving.

I also heard tonnes of guys were leaving Pinnacle to go to Emirates. That makes sense, as Pinnacle is crap. I have never heard of a SkyWest guy at Emirates, which makes sense, because SkyWest is very good, in my opinion.

Hope that clears up the misunderstanding...

Well Cliff, I must say I owe you an apology. I thought I remember you saying in the past that SkyWest pilots weren't at Atlas due to one reason or another. Apparently I was mistaken.

Anyway, it has been nicer at SkyWest than I thought it would be (I used to fly charter and corporate). But I would bail out of here in a heartbeat for a place like Atlas. I do have my app in over there, but no bites yet.

No Problem. It is easy to have a misunderstanding, and it is nice if it is cleared up to everyone's satisfaction.

I applied to SkyWest at some point...sounded like a decent place to me.

Don't go to our "ugly sister" airline aka Express Jet. JK...

For SKW, study the stuff listed on the interview packet and be humble. The time you check into the hotel to the time you board your plane SKW interview has started. Good luck and choose the honey baked ham for your lunch, it's fab.
