Have fun!

Since you work there, can you provide any insight as to why the pilot group should vote "yes" to this TA?

Can you give me facts then? Mesa just got 30 Ejets for United. These are awarded to put pressure on SKW and RAH as well as whomever operates the other Ejets. Delta has their whipping boy and cheap operator, so does RAH. US Airways needs another operator and it seems like some PSA boys can't wait to join in the race and don't present the facts

Have you already rushed to put in your "yes" vote?

Just to make sure I understand your position...

You believe mainline pilots owe the regional carriers/pilots something as they take back flying they have historically done?

If so, what?

And, what exactly did the regional carriers do for the furloughed mainline pilots when that flying was transferred to the regionals?

Then is it your position that regional pilots are responsible for any loss of any pilot jobs to majors or was it the loss do to scope and management? Some regionals did even offer help to furloughed mainline pilots by flow back at AE and XJ. Pinnacle also offered pilot positions without much test or interview. Show me any regional that has tried to bully any major and take jobs. So there was help offered and given.

If you wish to maintain standards of your hiring process to get the type of quality pilots you want, that's one thing. But if you want to come in and take over like AA did to TWA and try to kick everyone out simply because you have power and money or some inherent right, that's another. I don't feel my job is any less important at a regional then any major pilots is. Or is it just your intention that because your plane is bigger, your salary is higher that you should be afforded or entitled to more privileges and rights then any pilots at regionals?

My position is to have fairness among all pilot groups, regardless. But like I said at another post before it appears that regional pilots should not be expected to have or receive the same equal and fair treatment that pilots have at majors.

Mainline pilots owe it to the future generation of pilots to stop outsourcing. This industry is pathetic in the current state; the current regional pilots will only be better off long term even if it means a job loss short term. Until that time a simple thank you to current regional pilots for subsidizing your salary will suffice.
