Molson is the Canadian version of Budweiser, Labatt is Coors, etc. Molson M, although nowhere near "great" is a decent drink.

For a good Canadian beer, my favorite is a toss up between Pump House Canadian Cream and Pump House Pail Ale.

Why are people so funky about following a rule that is different than what's in 'merica?

Different country different rules. Shocking.

Yet once I pre clear thru US Customs are I not "technically" in the US and the Canadian security is checking pax to US standards (using yyz as an example all flights once thru security are all US destinations). So it should be the same rules in the US, correct? Kinda like watching Canadian TSA allow some pax keep a bottle of shampoo yet has a fit when you carry coffee is out of wack.

I dislike the dumb @ss rule too, trust me.

However, pre clearing customs does not put you on US soil per say. It's not like you're entering an embassy or something. The purpose of customs is to keep out people that aren't allowed, keep out contraband and regulate a number of other things. It does not suddenly change the rules, regs and laws you gotta follow simply because you spoke for 12 seconds to a customs agent.

Sitting at Timmy-Ho's as I type this in YYZ.

If you come through Terminal 1. There is one on the gate side of security, by gate F66 (old 166).

Last time I commuted out of Terminal 3 they still had not opened one on gate side. That was about 4 months ago.

Because Canada is a socialist country that imposes "orderly society" by creating lots of asinine petty rules. And that all goes against everything we Muricans stand for.

Ok so as an American I'm supposed to throw a fit each time I go thru security in a foreign country in order to stand up for American values. Got it.

My suggestion to you meanwhile, considering the numerous negative and ignorant comments you have about the country, is to stay out of Canada if you hate it that much.
