The purdyneat stuff is pricey, but well worth the cost. They have ergonomic features that are great for airline guys/gals, and the wheels can replaced by you with roller-blade wheels. In the long run they are cheaper and easier to own and operate than normal luggage.

The wheel thing is critical, cuz your wheels will get abused and most luggage makers require you to return the rollaboard to the factory or a store, and repairs take 1 week+ and cost $40+. Basically you need a backup rollaboard, plus it is a real nuisance to spend your days off getting suitcases repaired.

If your wheels don't work you have to CARRY your suitcase in one hand and your flightbag in the other. This gets VERY old VERY fast....

Does each pilot carry their own Jepps? Do they pick them up from Ops on day one and return them later or are they "theirs" to deal with?
In the fractional world each airplane has it's own set of Jepps that stay with the airplane. (not for long as we're getting EFBs soon)

At non-EFB airlines each pilot has his own set (airline specific), which he must maintain. The company provides updates.

I thought the cooler was to bring your own six-pack. Saves money on beer at the bars.

Does anyone know if the Scott jumbo flight kit fit's in the CRJ-200? Do the straps hanging off the sides get in the way? Thanks.

Ya know, you would think that. I got one about 10 months ago and I'm not impressed with it's durability at all...
